Selecting the right course and ensuring funding for higher education can be difficult for many Indian families. Often students can have the capability to continue their learning but may lack the knowledge on how to apply; they may struggle with college costs, applying for scholarships and career advice. An Education NGO in India can provide some solutions by providing students with the necessary education information, support opportunities and skill building resources.

Organisations such as SS Education Foundation will ensure students are more informed about their higher education opportunities and potential routes into professional development.

What Does an Education NGO in India Do?

An education NGO is a non-government organisation which aims to provide learning and educational opportunities. Depending on the services available they can offer students some educational advice, scholarships, learning resources, vocational skills and community development.

Some education NGOs in India focus on providing:

  1. Help with Higher Education

  2. Giving advice to help students find the right degree or diploma programme.

  3. Scholarship Advice

  4. Giving advice on what scholarships are available.

  5. Admissions Advice

  6. Giving advice on entry requirements and admissions.

  9. Vocational Skills

  11. Career Advice

  12. Providing advice on careers.

However not all will provide all of these services and students should always check what services they actually provide and what their eligibility criteria is.

Problems Faced by Students and Families

Financial limitations and a lack of reliable information can make educational decisions difficult. Some common challenges include:

    Student Problem
Its Impact
Practical Solution

    High college fees
Students may delay higher education
Explore eligible fee assistance and scholarships
